2012 Roussanne

The Roussanne, a white wine, is referred to as the “King of the White Rhones”. It is the predominate white grape of the southern Rhone region. It is one of the whites used to make Chateau Neuf Du Pape. It is also used to make red Hermitage. Great food wine because of its fabulous minerality. If you like a fuller bodied white wine, you will love Roussanne.

Taste: Vibrant notes of honey and minerality enhance a lively mid palate and lingering finish of clean citrus and white floral overtones. Great with brie and pears, pouched white fish as well as various poultry dishes. It’s hard to go wrong with lobster with a little herbed drawn butter and a bottle of Roussanne.

2012 Red Blend

The Red Blend is a California style Cote Du Rhone which means “The Slope of the Rhone”. It is fuller bodied than a traditional French style. The Rhone region refers to the Southern Mediterranean Provence, France area which has an equitable climate for growing grapes.

Taste: Medium body, good balance, cherry, spice, tobacco with a hint of vanilla at the finish. A beautiful blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah and Petite Sirah. Great with standing ribs, lamb, seared Portobello mushrooms or grilled eggplant.
